Titans/Justice League mission alert: Waimea Canyon, Kauai, Hawaii. Coordinates as follows. Partial remains of an unidentified Psion (alien, Vega System) space ship has crash landed.

WARNING: LIFEFORMS STILL ABOARD. USE CAUTION.
Zee arrives at the Canyon with her usual flair, a quick crack sounding through the air around her new position. The crash site resting nearby.

Cupping her hands over her eyes like a visor, she survey’s the crash from a distance. Otherworldly things have never been her area of expertise. Had there been a magical related crash though she’d be all over it.

"Well I don’t see anything moving now…" Zee mumbles, in no particular hurry to poke at the ruins of what she imagines to be a hive of alien like creatures waiting to swarm her.

"Hey Zee!" Mia called as she beamed down to the crash site. She made her way over towards the other woman with her bow in hand. Just in case something jumped out. Even though all seemed calm at the moment, that could change quickly.

She looked at the wreckage of whatever it was that had landed. “Soo. What are we supposed to do?” She asked glancing over at Zatanna.

Inside the ship, a Psion returns to consciousness. He is injured, but he can still move.

The first thing the Psion does, is check for any other crewmembers. But most of them are dead, mutilated from the explosion.

Only one other is alive, but barely. He is unable to move. They both know they’re on Earth, and they both know the protocol. After some whispered words shared between them, he snaps the neck of his injured crewmate. There is no regret and no hesitation in his action.

The second thing the Psion does, is find a weapon. It’s easy enough.

And once he is armed, he scrambles through the smoke and burning hot debris, towards the bright blue sky above.

< Help >, he starts to croak, in his own Psion language, hoping a passing Earthman will hear him. Even if they wouldn’t understand him, that is certain. But they might still hear his cries. And the Psion’s weapon is ready, but hidden. < Please help me. I’m trapped. >

"Speedy, Zee, I’ve got two life si—shit, we’ve lost one, make that one life sign, non-human—there with you,” Kate reported from the Monitor Womb, hissing as one of the glyphs on the holo blinked out. “The being’s moving upwards from the wreck, about fifty yards northwest of your location.”

She flicked her fingers in a frustrated gesture at a different screen, trying to sort out ambient noise from the energy buzz from the ocean from the faintest sounds of something unearthly. Amplifying wasn’t doing much.

"Guys, just be careful of the ship if you move, it could lose structural integrit—god damn it Oliver I’m starting to sound like fucking Data using this thing—”

The comm cut off as Kate finally remembered to push the mute button.

"Hey." Zee waves, giving herself a mental note to call Mia Speedy while they worked together. She takes note of her bow at the ready, and unfortunately for her skills don’t show in the same way, just magic churning under the surface of her skin instead.

"It’s looking like recon, I guess." Zee shrugs, standing up a little straighter. Subconsciously trying not to pull an attitude fitting for Zach, particularly with his girlfriend right next to her

And then Kate’s voice is there on her comm, reporting what they couldn’t yet see. “So it’s down to just one. I know act with caution, but do you have any idea what kind of…alien this is, or is the craft too dinged up for that?”

Staring at the wreckage in front of her, Zee’s gut ultimately decides not to worry about that for now. “Let’s close in a bit and see what we’re dealing with and go from there, alright?” she nods to Mia.

Mia looks around at the crash a little lost for a moment after Kate speaks then nods at Zatanna. “Carefully, I’m guessing.” Even if it was a friendly life form she knew if she had been in a crash ans was the only survivor she’d be ready to attack. Though she dd appreciate the location ans the irony of it. “You know LOST was filmed here,” She pointed out glancing over at Zatanna.

She made her way towards where it looked like an opening in the wreckage was and slowed down hearing something. “Do you hear that?” She asked holding her hand up to silence the total of 0 people talking. “Can you translate that? With magic or something? Or can you Manhunter? I don’t know. It’s totally something talking.”

"Computer’s saying, uh, Psion?" Kate was woefully not up on her alien races, she realized, wincing. "If that means anything to you. I’ll cross-reference if I can but we’d need a Lantern or Nightstar for anything more than the basics, there’s not a lot of context. Suffice it to say, they’re a long way from home and probably off course."

Speaking of Kyle or Mar’i, she thought in response to Mia’s question, and scowled at herself for being so damn Earth-centric, so damn useless when it came to the big picture here. “Let me patch in the translator, but the sound’s really faint. Can you get any nearer, I don’t know, a mic arrow or something?”

To be fair, Kate wasn’t sure if there was such a thing, but at this point in her Arrowfam days, it really wouldn’t have shocked her.

"I wish it sounded familiar, but I’ve got nothing." Zee huffs, already wishing they’d sent Kyle instead of her. He’d know exactly what was going on. "See if you can get a GL on, but if not we’ll try and handle it as best we can." Zee asks of Kate.

She turns to Mia, glancing at the quiver of arrows she had with her, “Do you have a mic arrow? Because that would be really perfect if you do.” Zee’s already praying to some imagined god, that looks a bit like Ollie, that such an arrow can even be fashioned. “If you don’t, I’ll can get closer.” if she got in trouble she’d probably need Mia’s long range and quick reaction time to save her. “I can try and climb in the wreckage and see how our only friend is doing.”

"Do I have a Mic Arrow." Mia repeated rolling her eyes. "So offended. It’s like you guys don’t know us at all." Because while certain members if the arrow fam forwent using trick arrows if Mia was going to spend time making them she was going to use them.

She pulled an arrow out of her quiver, pushing a little button and holding up to her mouth. “I hope you can hear this.” She could hear it in her own communicator so she assumed Kate would be able to hear it fine as well. So, Mia knocked it and scanned the scene for the best place to put it. “This is my only one so lets hope this works.” She stated firing the arrow into a crack near where the voice was coming from, and hoped it wasn’t an echo or something. “There yeah.” She said as the voice speaking a language she couldn’t understand became clearer.

The Psion hears human voices - and even in its injured state, even seeking their help, the alien can’t help but sneer derisively at the sound of their slippery, sloppy human-noise. Even worse, given the pitch and cadence, the Psion identifies them as female voices.

He overcomes his disgust, for the sake of his newly-formulated, emergency plan. He was on Earth; he must find Iorek. Perhaps these female humans would be able to take him to Iorek. Before he can speak, a shaft-like Earth-made weapon ker-thunks near his head, glueing itself to a surface of the ship. Alarmed, thinking the stupid humans are trying to attack him, the Psion urgently croaks out in his own language.

« Do not hurt me! I’m injured. I need help, please. Get me out of here! »

"Great, thanks, M—Speedy, got it." Kate was slipping a little, mostly because she was trying to man both teams at once and keep all the balls in the air with regards to the computer. It was easier said than done.

She patched the recording through the speech to text (it sounded like…frogs, a little?) and then through the translator. “I’m getting words about injury and hurt and help, but the syntax is completely gone. Definitely close to the mic, though, so you won’t have to go in too far. Stay cautious, use theta first contact protocol, I can’t find anything on what kind of body language might be offensive.”

Meanwhile, she tried desperately to crossreference any known details about the Psions, but the details were patchy. Not to mention that what seemed to be useful parts had censor blocks on with Green Lantern written all over them.

"Injury, hurt and help. Okay thanks." the translation might’ve been loose from Kate, but the key words were helpful. Zee had assumed from the look of the crash that whatever had survived would be in poor shape. Now it was a matter of figuring out if this alien was friend or foe. A situation that again left Zee wishing Kyle was nearby to assist on this. "And try not to offend the thing. Yeah."

She bobbed her head towards the crash site, making her way closer to the trick arrow Mia had shot. “I think I’ve got one solid method for direct contact regardless of language since it seems like English isn’t so universal, but if I use that I’ll have to touch the alien.” she speaks lowly, “Hopefully the surviving one is cooperative and friendly enough to let me do that, but if not…” she pauses at the possible outcomes from the situation they were walking into, her imagination already spreading wide with unfavorable situations. Most involving her and Mia incinerated like in some god awful D-list alien movie. “Well we’ll just go from there.”
Mia listened to Kate and nodded her head over at Zatanna. Of course it was possibly all a trick and they were walking into a trap, but there was only one left so unless he was like… huge or something they could probably take him. Or her. Or whatever. If this alien attacked them it probably wouldn’t matter anyway.

"Well, I guess we should go see what we’re dealing with." Mia said and started towards where the arrow had landed. It wasn’t that far off but there looked like some dangerously unsteady places. She did manage to get by and was halfway there when she let out an annoyed sound and turned to look around at Zatanna. "You could have just teleported us there!" She said, having just realized. "I’m too used to Zach, I think…" She added making it to the crack in what looked like a door.

"Hey! I know you probably can’t understand us but were going to get you out of there so hold tight." Mia called through the crack. "Don’t be stupid and attack us though." She stood back to allow Zee to take out the door or do whatever other thing she needed to do.

"Hey! I know you probably can’t understand us but were going to get you out of there so hold tight." Mia called through the crack. "Don’t be stupid and attack us though." She stood back to allow Zee to take out the door or do whatever other thing she needed to do.

Zee rolls her eyes at Mia’s comment, “Well I’m not Zach, and I’m not lazy. Sorry.” the comparison to her cousin she knew was an annoyance to Zach as well, only for once it was Zee on the receiving end. An excellent start at trying to form relations with his current girlfriend.

"Lets just try and get through this…" she mumbled, glaring down the crack in the hull. Pressing her hand to the craft, she cast, "Tixe." broadening the crack, and literally evaporating any debris blocking the alien’s path to them. She could hear a dull rumble of the craft objecting to the quick alteration of it’s jumbled structure. “Try and hurry out!” Zee calls, already worried that the craft might implode, or explode…maybe both.

Reaching her hand through the widened crack, open and palm facing upward. She urges again, “C’mon, please!” and it felt so stupid and useless, the creature inside probably has no idea what any of those sounds meant. Zee wondered if Kyle ever felt the cosmic gap she was experiencing now. Probably not, his ring seemed to compensate for all of the bridges he needed to form. He was a symbol, while she was just a person yelling in gibberish to an alien.

At the sight of the structure before him disappearing like dust, the Psion knew he was not dealing with regular humans. These were meta-humans, possibly members of that ‘Justice League’. The Psion knew he could be captured or worse - attacked and killed. By females, no less.

The alien sheathed his weapon, concealing it before carefully dragging himself out of the ship’s carcass. He coughed up a dark blood and blinked at the two before him.

"Human females," he rasped, still in his own language. "Help me. I am hurt. I need medical attention. My sh-ship crashed here through no fault of it’s own." Then after a pause, the Psion added, "We were coming to Earth…to warn you. My name is Ansek, I —*gurk*

And then, he passed out.
