As of today, the JLU will be implementing the Supervised Rehabilitation of Violent Entities (SeRVE) program at the Watchtower.

This means that all personnel who opted for training in situation management and signed the required waivers will be considered available for pairing with entities (human persons, metahumans, aliens, and so forth) according to that member’s skills and power set. The mentor member will then be responsible for taking their program partner on whatever jobs are applicable, in order to train them for superhero work and mindset.

These program partner entities may include but shall not be limited to a) villains who have been previously incarcerated b) villains who have opted to join the program in lieu of incarceration c) heroes who are being repatriated following a stint as a villain.

Tara found her way to the training room easily enough and earlier than she was supposed to meet Connor. She wanted to scope out the best way to present herself when he came in.

— which is why when Connor entered the room, he found Tara wearing tiny gold-coloured workout shorts and a matching cropped hoodie. She was doubled over and grinned at him from between her legs, dyed blonde hair falling in her face.

“Hey there, sexay,” she said. “Figured I could start by showing you how flexible I am.”

Connor looked puzzled, but was otherwise unaffected by her attire, words, or pose. He himself wore only shorts and a snug-fitting sleeveless athletic shirt, so the sight of skin didn’t affect him. In truth, other than being called ‘sexy’, he didn’t recognize her behavior as flirtatious, and he wasn’t entirely sure why she was behaving the way she was. “Flexibility is a useful attribute,” he complimented. “As is endurance. How would you feel about testing your stamina?”

She straightened up and turned around, staring incredulously. “Are you for real?” she demanded. “Showing up looking so fine and me looking all like chocolate wrapped in gold over here, and you for SERIOUS want to get down to doing stretches and lunges?

Tara stepped up closer, putting one hand on Connor’s chest. “Unless,” she purred, “you meant some OTHER way of testing, what was it? Endurance. And—” she licked her lips, “—ssssstamina.” She curled her fingers. “I’m totally eighteen by the way.”

Afternoon Meditation at the Watchtower

At Kyle and Dinah’s urging, Connor got permission to turn one of the practice rooms into a meditation room. There were mats laid out, and windows looking out into space, as well as candles and soft ambient music from some planet he’d never heard of, but it seemed soothing.

Connor himself was already seated in the lotus pose, eyes closed as he centered his breathing.

He wasn’t sure who would show up, if anyone, but he was prepared to spend the afternoon alone if no one did.

Kyle peeked into the room that Connor mentioned he’d convert into a meditation room. Sure enough, there was Connor, practically looking like the Buddha himself. No one else was here yet, but Kyle was hopeful that Dinah would show up. J’onn said that she and Batman went off together on some Bat-mission; it was likely she was in for some deep relaxation after something like that.

“It’s all right Kyle, you can come in,” Connor spoke up, although Kyle was sure his eyes hadn’t even opened. Feeling a little shy (the room just seemed so very peaceful!), Kyle entered slowly.

“Nice place you got here.”
