Bai got the message about Mar’i being attacked, but didn’t go to check on her and didn’t respond to it. This wasn’t through a lack of caring, but more through the nature of speedsters; she figured that it would be more useful and efficient for her to go to Titan Tower and look around, see if she could catch a glimpse or clue of whoever the shooter was. But the place had been secured already, so she decided on the next best course of action: going to see Tim.
Tim had returned to the Tower from patrolling Gotham as soon as he possibly could and was filing the information he received from his texts with Mar’i and Kyle when he sensed another presence coming his way, fast. “You better not touch anything,” he says in warning, fingers typing on his holographic computer.
Bai draws herself to a stop, making a wide arc around Tim at first so she doesn’t pulverize him in the air pressure from her wake before trotting over. “After all this time watching you at crime scenes, you think I don’t know how to not disturb the evidence?” she scoffs. “I watch crime shows just like errbody else.” She sobers a little, though, at the thought of what had happened. “Been a while since anybody attacked us in the Tower, though.”
Crime shows, really? As if watching Grey’s Anatomy makes him a doctor, oh Lord. Tim resists to roll his eyes. He quirks an eyebrow nevertheless and saves the file he’s been working in, showing Bai what he’s gathered so far. “We have to be careful. It’s unclear if Mar’i was the target or us Titans in general,” he tells her and lowers his arm slightly to look at her.
