He was glad him and Cassie had already gotten the Tower up and running a couple of weeks ago. It was a lot more of a pain then you’d think, which he figured was probably why Vic had always dealt with that sort of stuff. All he had to do now was make sure the zeta tubes were up and running before he made his way into the meeting room to wait for everyone else. He wasn’t one to really go along with first impressions but, first meetings were kind of important. It was just a good way to gage how everyone got along with each other, and considering while they had all been on the Titans before, and had all, with the exception of Mar’i, had been on a team together in some combination. Never exactly as they were now.
Gar flopped himself down in one of the seats and leaned back waiting for the others. This could be interesting, there were only a few things to go over and he didn’t think there were any overly large egos (aside from Zach) that would really make things not go smoothly. But as long as there were no all out fist fights it would be a win in his book. And that’d probably make them one of the more functional Titans teams that had ever existed.
Bai delighted in bucking the family trend of arriving places late (most people assumed that when her grandpa or Wally showed up late, it was hilarious irony or adorable scatterbrains, but as a fellow speedster? Bai knew well and good that it was Speed Force arrogance at its sharpest) and zoomed up outside of Titans Tower with a long, impressed whistle.
“Looks good as new,” she announced to Gar once she got inside, collapsing in a long-limbed heap on the floor and stretching out in all different directions. “Are we rilly gonna use here asourHQagain? I mean considering all the things that’ve happened here over the years I kinda feel like it might be—” Bai looked around, eyes enormous, before whispering, “—cursed.”
Cassie couldn’t help but laugh as she walked in the moment Bai suggested the place might be cursed. “Spooky.” She said giving the other girl a quick hug, because she hadn’t actually seen Bai in a long time. ”How are you doing?” The blonde asked happily and set the platter of cheese and crackers she brought along down. She knew Mia said she’d handle snacks but it was always good to bring more with this crowed. Hell, Bai alone could finish off her snacks before the rest of the group even got here. So, it wouldn’t hurt.
